All adult patients are advised to have a general health check, including blood pressure, weight, etc, every 5 years. These are conducted by appointment by the healthcare assistants.
More specialised clinics are offered at various times in the week by the practice and community teams as follows:
Ante-natal Clinic offered by the community midwives on Wednesday/Friday afternoons.
Child Health Surveillance-clinic offered by the practice nurse and GP on Tuesday afternoons or Thursday mornings by appointment, to check your child’s health and development at key stages up to the age of 5.
Leg Ulcer Clinic provided by the district nursing team to offer wound care management for patients with leg ulcers.
Family Planning confidential advice, including emergency contraception and inter-uterine devices (coils) is available.
Minor Surgery provided by the GPs at pre-arranged times.
Well Woman Clinic a nurse-led clinic offering cervical screening and healthy lifestyle advice.
‘Wart Clinic’ – using cold gas (liquid Nitrogen) to remove certain skin lesions.
