'we care for you, we care about you'

Appointments

We have recently changed our appointment system please click here for further information.

Our clinicians (doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, health care assistants and pharmacist) offer a range of face-to-face and telephone appointments throughout our opening hours. See the panel on the right for our opening hours.

We want to help you get the advice and treatment you need as quickly and effectively as possible. Use the table below to help you select the most appropriate appointment type. However, if you have a problem that you feel needs to be assessed the same day, we recommend our Triage service.

Triage is a way of making sure that patients can access the most appropriate clinician as soon as possible. When you contact the surgery, we will ask you for a contact number and very brief details of your medical complaint. The Triage Nurse or Nurse Practitioner will telephone you as soon as possible and either:

a) Resolve the problem without the need for you to come to the surgery, by providing the appropriate advice and where necessary a prescription for treatment, or

b) Make arrangements for you to be seen at the surgery the same day by the most suitable clinician, so that you can be examined and treated as necessary, or

c) Book an appointment for you to be seen at a later date if the condition is not found to be urgent.
