'we care for you, we care about you'

Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) remain high among young people aged 15-24

An STI is a health condition and needs to be taken seriously. Leaving an STI untreated can cause serious health issues such as pelvic inflammatory disease, swollen or painful testicles, arthritis, infertility and even meningitis.

Rates of STI’s among young people continue to be high and many sexually active young people are not using condoms with new partners. Six in 10 chlamydia and gonorrhoea diagnoses are in those under 25 years of age.

Using a condom is the safest way to ensure you avoid contracting an STI.
